Here I am, pushing buttons and making things beep, but I'm not really sure if anything is happening. I see the pros zipping around me, typing things like MT, RT, and Who's on First, and I feel more lost than ever.
After a few days of feeling like I was a total twitter failure, I decided I'd do what I always do when I have a question that I feel too stupid to actually ask out loud. I googled "Twitter Lingo",and voila, there they were, all the answers to my twitter questions. And you know what? Considering there is actually a "Twitter Dictionary (!!!) I don't feel quite so silly admitting all of this to you.
What about you? What's your least favorite type of social media? Are you like me and Twitter makes you feel like a twit? If so, here's a pretty cool website to help you out.
Learning to Love Twitter,

Don't feel bad! I had the same problem understanding the hash tags. I looked it up as well... last week! I feel we are all lost in a sea of twits!
Oh dear! I'm very sure you'll get the hang of the twittering...the thing I seem to struggle with is dedicating time to all this social media! I only have a blog. I want to do it right. Like you, I have a young family and can't dedicate oodles of time to learn new lingo and layouts!
Eileen-that makes me feel so much better!
Melissa-Exactly! It's so hard to juggle everything and I hate feeling like a slave to the computer when there's real life to be lived!
Thank you for making me laugh as I felt like you were describing me also loll... I'm an almost expert on fb, pinterest and linkedIn, but when it comes to the twit, I definitely need some intense self-training. Thanks for sharing this ;)
I am just becoming a twit twitterer....LOL :) It is attached to my blog and I tweet all of them, but sometimes It is hard to go through and follow others, I just try to follow people with like interest. Great blog!!
Glenda, you are definitely not alone, dear! :)
Heather, I agree! I always feel a little overwhelmed.
